miles distance inaccurate

I entered my correct 'stride length' in to the Fitbit Blaze, however the distance reading in miles is always indicatibg too low. I use a GPS to show the correct distance.

What I did with my first fitbit is to take the distance from a GPS device and the step count from the fitbit for a long walk and use them to calculate my stride (stride = distance / steps). I entered this into my profile and repeated a walk to check.

 

Note though that there are 2 stride lengths, one for walking, one for running
