I would like to give my Blaze to someone to start using.  Do I need to erase anything from the device or account in order for a new account to be started and a new person start using it?  If so what do I need to do to complete this?

Welcome to the forums!

 

If you had notifications set you should remover that.

Sync it one last time just to make sure it has.

Go to settings on the watch and scroll through until you see shut down and tap on it (this should prevent it from adding steps in between)

Remove from your account.

 

When The person who sets it up does, It will start over fresh for them

One more step, go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and remove the Blaze from there. @bbjtdean. Your a nice friend to have. 

Now hand the Blaze to your friend and help them create a fit out t and connect the tracker. 

As @WendyB points out a sync takes your data and places it in your Fitbit account. Once turned off nothing else to do but hand it over.
