i have noticed that steps increase while driving couldnt this be negated by having a driving option that when enabled would stop distance steps etc from incrementing. it could work similar to the run section where you click go when in the car.just a thought new to fitbit so dont know if it has been mentioned before

There is no setting to prevent these rogue steps being tracked but if it's happens and you'd like to get rid of the steps then this article explains how:

Not just driving but just bumping your arm on something. I get over 2000 steps just mowing the lawn with the riding mower. It is just how it all works.

Voting will keep this request near the front, where it will get the attention of the developers. This request has been quite for a while, which makes it look unpopular.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SouthernG68! as @Rich_Laue mentioned the best way to make your voice heard is the Feature Request board. You can also use Drivebit an app designed for when you are driving. Click here for more information. @SunsetRunner and @SteveH thanks for your cooperation! 😉

Yep I was riding my mower and felt it vibrate and tell me I had reach 10,000 steps. Funny how it does not know between a human walking and I riding mower bouncing on uneven ground.
