very unhappy with longevity of the entire unit

I bought my first fitbit blaze in April of 2016. It lasted a year and a half before it refused to hold a charge more than a few hours.

A replacement was sent November 2017 and it just died last week.

Fitbit only sent me a discount coupon for 25% off.  I'm very upset.  It lasted 7 months...

The quality of the product has me holding back on even purchasing another blaze or even Ionic.

I've been through two Blaze with very similar lifespans. They also offered me 25% off when the first one died but it didn't apply to the ionic (which I wanted at the time) or the versa,  which had just been released at the time. Rather than using the coupon because it didn't work for the model I wanted, I just took over my wife's abandoned blaze. For the last couple of weeks it's been doing the same thing the first one did, heart rate monitor failing, battery life noticeably shorter, etc. Then yesterday afternoon I charged it to full again and received a low battery notification last night. It was dead this morning. I'm really considering trying out the Garmin line to see if they have any better longevity. I really don't want to plunk down what equates to $100 to $150/year to keep a fitness tracker on my wrist. Currently more than disappointed in fitbit and in the past I'd tell anybody that would listen how great they are. Several of my family members own fitbits because of my complimentary attitude toward the brand. I just hope they have better luck with theirs.
