Already a topic that comes and goes for the past 8 years at least I guess, but it stays a unresolved bug.
I use a Charge 5 connected to a Samsung A52 (Android 11) with the Fitbit app, Fitbit Premium, Strava app, Strava payed subscription.
Fitbit and Strava are connected correctly.
Some (most) activities I record on the Charge 5 are synced perfectly. Bike, walks are synced within seconds (my bike isn't even locked before my phone issues an alarm from Strava).
But some activities like Runs, Interval workouts are NOT synced. So I started thinking, perhaps my runs (beginning jogger :-)) are not long enough, the last few days lasting about 9 mins. So yesterday I had an Interval Workout of 11 mins, still not syncing. Then I looked at my activities in april when I had Interval Workouts of 20 mins, turns out they were not synced as well (didn't pay attention then).
So... back to DuckDuck. Found several threads on the fora from 2014, 2017, 2020, 2021 about exactly the same issue. I learned about manually exporting the TCX and I tried. The synced activities are exported perfectly (but I don't need those exports), the problematic ones gave the same old error
"The activity TCX file could not be downloaded. We are looking into the issue."
So they are looking into this issue now for about 8 years?
The activity shows perfect GPS data in the fitbit app/website, but for some reason this export failes. This isn't a Strava issue, it happens before Strava has anything to do with it.
Has it something to do with Charge5-GPS versus Smartphone-GPS? Didn't check this yet, but I will the next coming days.
And no, stopping apps, clearing caches, reestablishing the connection Fitbit-Strave all do NOT work. Exporting off the Fitbit website through: FF on Linux, Chrome on Android, Chrome on W10, Edge on W10 all give the SAME ERROR.
I pay for the Premium, I expect a 8-year old bug to be resolved long before 8 years have passed. How many software developers do you have? They s*** anyway, I guess, or they get the wrong instructions.
HAVE THIS BUG FIXED, PLEASE

It's an old bug with exporting TCX from Interval Workout and considering that web Dashboard is pretty much abandoned (all new features and updates go into the mobile apps). Even such issues like requiring Adobe Flash by some items of Dashboard haven't been addressed until now so I wouldn't expect the Interval Workout TCX export will ever be addressed. Sooner we will see an announcement that the web Dashboard is discontinued rather than get any fixes there.

So, and how about Fitbit-Strave sync???

Runs should sync as long as there is any GPS data generated (if GPS doesn't connect it won't sync to Strava). In general, you can't sync to Strava anything else but runs, walks and bike rides and as long as there is GPS data it should work (that's the theory). If it doesn't I have no idea why. I use Fitbit from time to time but I have my Garmin connected to my Strava account because I can sync everything (GPS or not) with all extra metrics (like cycling power, running power and cadence). Some time ago I set new Strava account just to be used with Fitbit and found out that Fitbit-Strava integration is so poor that for me it's not worth using (although at least it worked, my runs and bike activities transferred to Strava). I don't know what else to say. I'm just yet another user, can't fix it for you.
