Hi folks
My charge 5 seems a little confused:
When I cut the grass walking behind my mower, it thinks I am cycling. When I am paddling my canoe, it thinks I am swimming.
Am I right in thinking the calorie burn numbers it comes up with in these circumstances will be nonsense, and is there anything I can do to get more accurate data?

1) Calorie burn is based on heart rate. The particular activity makes no difference - basically just for your record-keeping.
2) 2 ways to make activity more accurate:
2a) Use the on-wrist Exercise App to record exercise sessions, always getting precise start and end times, and giving it your preferred category from among 21 choices; as explained in following link, if exact category is not listed, use a close choice or go with "workout"; see How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?
2b) On phone app, tap 'days of exercise tile', then gear icon near top right to see the possible auto-recognized activities. For any you never do, tap on and turn off auto-recognize slider to prevent ever getting that.
3) Never manually log a workout after-the-fact if you were wearing the tracker. This causes Fitbit to ignore all data that was actually recorded.
