My Fitbit battery has always lasted 7 days comfortably. However, today, the battery started to drain very very quickly. I haven’t changed any settings and have no idea why this is happening.
Today, I had to charge my watch three times in total (during the night, at midday, then around 7pm). Battery doesn’t even last a full night of sleep.
does anyone know what’s going on?

Hello, @abrighenti Welcome to the Fitbit Community.
Thanks for letting me know your situation in regards to the battery of your Charge 5.
I was able to confirm you contacted support and they were able to provide you with a solution, if you have any other questions or concerns, my best recommendation would be to contact them once again.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Lucky to get 3 hours from a charge. Going by the hundreds of posts and replies in this forum regarding this issue it is a known issue and Fitbit should step up and own the problem and help all customers, even those who may just be outside their warrant period by days. If these issues were relating to a car there would be a manufacturer recall at the manufacturer expense. Fortunately, in the UK we have the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which states that goods must be Satisfactory quality, As described, Fit for purpose and last a reasonable length of time.

Same here. I’ve seen other people say that customer service says to charge fully the periods sync so they can view the data. Mine went from 99 to 75 in five minutes. I haven’t even contacted customer service because it seems from the many posts that there’s nothing they can do. I was going to buy my wife a Charge for Three Kings but I think I’m going to have to figure out something else

When you do manage to get it charged are your other sensors like HR working. I'm now working on the premise that there's a possible short circuit somewhere else that is causing the battery drain as at exactly the same time as the sudden battery drain my HR sensor lights are no longer visible on the back of my charge 5 and it's no longer giving me most of my health metric stats.

I started to have this problem with my Charge 5 several days ago. The wrist band first suddenly stopped responding, I tried the three-press reset and it took multiple tries to make it work again. Then the battery started to drain very fast, within 1.5 hours, it dropped from 100% to 80%. Sometimes, it showed <10% battery but when I connected the charger, it showed 50%. I updated it with the latest firmware.
Please provide a solution. I bought this wristband in 2022, less than 2 years ago.
