Charge 5 can't get update

I have restarted my Fitbit by the charging cord at least 5 times, restarted device option tons of time , uninstalled and reinstalled the app and I still can’t get it to do the update that says is available.when I click on it it just goes back to my main page.also it seems the battery is dating faster

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding your Charge 5, and all the attempts to get that update. I'm sorry to know the difficulty that you are experiencing.

I'd recommend you try to follow these instructions: 

  1. Turn your tracker off and on again using the instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device? (Even if you already tried it, please try one more time). 
  2. Restart your phone, and retry the update.
  3. Log in to your Fitbit account on a different device, and retry the update.
