Battery won’t hold charge (software update)

Had this Fitbit for over a year. After this last software update all the sudden, my Fitbit will not hold a charge for longer than three minutes. It’s been rebooted. I have followed all forums and advice from the company. Nothing works. It seems this watch is only good for less than two years than it is garbage. Let’s see if the company will back its products and replace it. Not going to hold my breath they won’t stand behind their product. It is the last one that I ever buy from them

Same for me.  It used to last for days, now it dies almost every 24 hours. I suspect part of it is the constant syncing now that they've turned off the option to only sync manually.  It's running a sync every time it's near my phone now.

Mine sync on when I ask it to

Still charge to 100 %. Put it on and it’s dead in less than 10 min.

I’ve done everything they recommend and it still dies.

Judging by what people are saying… Fitbit doesn’t stand by their product. Wish I would have known that before I bought this. Time to find another watch and make sure people know what kind of company Fitbit is.

I bought my Charge 5 in November 2022 and its battery only lasted for a few minutes if fully charged in early January 2024. However, my other one, Luxe is about 2.5 years old and still working properly - one full charge up to 7 days. Apparently QAQC is required for batteries.

Having the same issues. Has been working perfectly then had an issy fit yesterday, lost all its charge and displayed red circle with white cross. Recharged  the device and it lost its charge within minutes and would not record steps.

Uploaded software update But no change.
