Hi,
I owned the Charge 2, 3 and now 5. What surprised me with all the products is the huge HR rate difference when the device is tracking the workout using manual tracking (starting exercise from the watch) compared to just leaving the Fitbit to track the workout automatically.
For example I am biking with my kid where I am basically all the time below my zones (around 90-100 BPM). When I don't start any exercise and just let the band track the workout automatically, the HR readings are correct. But as soon as I start the exercise manually, I am all the time in cardio ca. 20-40 BPM higher.
So I just end up not tracking anything, because the data was useless. What surprised me is exactly the same behavior even on the Charge 5.
I can post a video where my HR during exercise reads 120, even though I am standing still. And as soon as I stop the exercise on the Fitbit, my HR goes down to 80 within 30 seconds...
Do you try to motivate people with this that they burn more calories or what can be the cause of this nonsense behavior?
Thanks for any suggestions.
