Sometime during the morning of the 26th my Charge 5's screen quit responding. So I hooked it to the charger. Checked it later that day and still no screen. Tried a different power source. Still nothing. After searching the manual and forums, I did reboot the device via the button on the cable. Still no screen but was able to have the app communicate with it. Thought I had a work around until this afternoon. After charging all night (100%), it didn't last a day. Please fix whatever the issue is with the code! I do not want to but another tracker because there was a glitch in the update! Once a week I'll charge and reset my device to see if it works. In the mean time, I'll browse the various trackers out there until I find a quality one to purchase.

I looked at all these posts and can’t find any that say what to do when your screen is black and unresponsive. I’be tried all the troubleshooting tips, unfortunately

The advice is to reset with the charger cable. Also if the tracker is talking to the app, you can change the clock face. No one seems to be able to get the screen back though. When I reset the clock the screen showed the logo which means there isn’t an issue with the screen itself. Google has offered a discount for the purchase of a new Fitbit. I’m researching alternatives first.
