I am getting ready to drop FITBIT all together. For about the third time, in the last couple weeks, my Fitbit looses steps. It records them but then later in the day it shows less steps. I have taken some photos of this. For today I had almost 10,000 Steps but put the Fitbit on the charger while I showered and came back and now it only shows 1,564 Steps. Even going into the detailed view on the app it shows about 6,000 steps between ten and eleven. If it continues to do this time to quit the FITBIT and move to another platform which is more reliable and accurate. If there is something I can do to correct this please let me know me know.
thanks,
Jack

Hi there, @AB4WS. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is losing steps. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
By any chance, do you have MobileTrack also linked to your Fitbit account? If you do, please note that MobileTrack might have something to do with this odd behavior about your steps. To verify this, please in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > then tap Devices. In this section you'll see your Versa 3 and below your phone (in case MobileTrack is indeed connected).
If the above describes your situation, you can remove MobileTrack by tapping on the phone's icon and then select "Remove From Account".
On a side note, I'd also suggest confirming that the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Make sure that your Charge 5 is properly syncing with your Fitbit app. If you're running into syncing issues, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
