With the Charge 5 in "always on" ode the stopwatch and countdown timer lose 1 second when the display times out to the always in mode.

Example.  Start the stopwatch and count seconds. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Screen blank for 1 second, 10, 11...

The time should resume at ELEVEN seconds not 10.

Same thing happens to the countdown timer but in reverse.

Why is this important? What's a second?  I take pulses for 10 seconds. If the timer is off by 1 second the heart rate is not accurate by 10% . I can never start taking a pulse at 0 sec because I don't have enough hands to work the watch and take the pulse at the same time so I start at 5 secs and go to 15.

This is clearly a bug in the software.  Please fix it!
