Calorie count

My Charge 5 says that I burn over ~6,000 calories every day - and that is with no exercise.  I understand that it is always measuring BMR (I've read how it calculates calorie counting) so the calorie count is expected to be much above just a work out.  That said mathematically, counts this high make no sense: I burn 6,000 calories a day yet eat 2,000 leaving me with a 4,000 calorie deficit each day?  I would understand if the calorie count was 1,500 or some such thing but 6000?  Something seems off here...?  I tried the factory reset, unlinking and relinking the device, and resetting it with no luck.  Ideas?

@CB1982 have you verified that your weight is entered correctly? If your weight is incorrect, that could cause your BMR to be miscalculated.

Thank you! I have and have made sure that the units (lbs verses other) is
correct. I even chatted with customer service And they had no answers so
I’m hoping somebody has ran across this and been able to fix it! That’s
great input though - thanks!
