Can't complete update

For the past 3 weeks I have had a nag screen telling me there is a Tracker update.

I think I have stopped at 20 times trying to do this. IOS is up to date, both phone and Fitbit are fully charged and close to each other. I even connected my charging cable to my computer... nothing... looked at Bluetooth sync... which turns off when I do this process.

Come on Fitbit.. fit these continual syncing etc problems! Yes Charge 5 sync is almost a joke

This is probably one of the most frustrating consumer products that I have recently experienced. Charge 5 prices are falling rapidly which should tell us something.

Hi, thank you for all the feedback that you've provided and for the information about this issue with the update on the Charge 5, @SteveCDN.

It seems that you already got in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this and that you already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps that can be found in the forums. In this case, I recommend that you continue the communication with them so they can let you know how to proceed.

Thanks again for all your feedback and comments about this.

Tks… we’ll here’s some more feedback!!

Please communicate to Fitbit that a clear statement on the community site is needed to assure current Charge 5 users, who upgrade their firmware that this action is both safe and will not impede but enhance this products functionality going forward.

I'm not sure how iOS works, but with android, we have to move the fitbit app to the background before the screen goes dark, otherwise the update fails.

Not for me @Rich_Laue, i don't have this problem and i never had it with my Fitbit devices (Starting with Zip) and Android phones (i started with Android 1.5, not sure what Android version was available when Fitbit was first released, if I had to guess I would say ICS)
