While installing Charge 5 the iPhone continues to disregard the presence of the Charge 5 and continues to send the Charge 4 digit code to the Charge 4. Deleting the Charge 4 from the Bluetooth list on the iPhone doesn't even work. The iPhone doesn't find the Charge 5.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @jevedebe.
Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your Charge 5.
Make sure that you're specifically choosing the Charge 5 model at the beginning of the process. Before considering options could you please try to restart your Charge 5 and try to complete the set up process again? In addition, please try to remove any Bluetooth devices nearby from the room, so they don't interfere with the Bluetooth connection during the set up procedure.
If you're experiencing other problems during this process, you can also follow the recommendations listed in this article.
Hope this helps, I'll be around.

I had the same problem. What ended up working for me was disconnecting both, putting the Charge 4 inside an empty metal tin (wrapping in foil might work too), to block the bluetooth signal, then the Charge 5 activated and connected OK. Pretty bad that this wasnt tested properly before release.

That sounds really unfortunate.
When I set mine up, it was charging before I started the process and paired up easily. I was actually still wearing my Charge 4 at the time and took it off at the last possible moment when the Charge 5 was fully charged, updated and ready to take its place on my wrist.
It sounds like I was lucky not to have any problems with bluetooth.
