Changing profile location to get ECG

Hi!

This is exactly Charge 5 thing but as I have it and couldn't figure out to which part of the forum this question would fit, I decided to ask here.

So, I live in a country where ECG is not supported. Is there any way to bypass this restriction? I tried to change my account location and timezone to Sweden (where ECG is supported) but this did not help. Does the service depend on your actual location then which is taken from GPS? I would assume that not, because it would mean that when travelling some features might be turned off.

Anyways any tip is appreciated. If there is a bypass to try and if not, then I should not waste any more time to find one 🙂

If someone else struggles with this, there is a workaround. Use vpn to change your location, active ecg and revert location back to normal.

@waeinoe   Using a VPN is the workaround when you are in an unsupported country.  Fitbit knows your location from your phone's IP address.  Here is an additional example.  If you live in a supported country, then travel to an unsupported county, the ECG won't work while you are in the unsupported country.  It will work when you get home.

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.
