On the single bar of activity, I see fat burn, cardio, peak, and under for heart rates. When I go to the details (individual bars), it shows me minutes of “custom heart rate”. What does that mean and why doesn’t it show up on the single bar view?

You can set up your own "custom heart rate zone" to help your training if you have a particular range you want your heart rate to stay in that does not match up with one on of Fitbit's standard zones.  You must have a custom zone set up.  You set this up (or turn it off) on phone app by tapping heart rate tile > gear icon (near top right) > Heart Rate Zones > Custom Heart Zone

I'm not sure which bars you are referring to, but maybe above explains it.  I expect time in custom zone is shown just for your own training info but has no effect on Active Minutes, and time in other zones are shown to be consistent with other measurements and let you understand Active Minutes calculations.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
