Charge 5 Alarm Issues

Hello,

I’ve had my Charge 5 for a short period now, and I’ve noticed the alarm is very inconsistent.

I have 6 alarms set on my watch.

3 are the “smart wake” alarms, and 3 are simply regular alarms. When I first attempted to use the alarm, I had one set for 6:30am, it worked the first day, but didn’t work the second. I thought I simply didn’t feel it, so I set an extra alarm at 7:00am. Still didn’t work. So I did a reset with the button on the charger and a test alarm for 30 minutes later, still didn’t work. So I removed all my alarms and added my 6 current alarms, two for 6:30am (one regular, one smart) on weekdays, two for 7am (one regular and one smart) on weekdays, and two at 10:30am (again, one regular and one smart) on weekends.

On Monday, I was woken up around 6:15 by what I assume to be the smart alarm. I snoozed it, then woke up at 7:15 to my “just incase” phone alarm, and when I checked my watch, it didn’t seem like any of the other alarms went off, and my 6:30am smart alarm was snoozed for over 1500 minutes. So I reset my watch, and crossed my fingers. Tuesday, no alarms went off so I removed all my alarms, reset my watch, synced it, added my alarms, synced it again, rebooted one more time and synced it, and again, crossed my fingers.

Yesterday, same thing as Monday, my alarm went off some time between 6-6:30, I snoozed it, and woke up to my phone alarm and my alarm was once again snoozed for around 1600 minutes.

I assumed it must have been a “smart alarm” issue, so I removed and re-added only the regular alarms. I did 4, at 6:15, 6:30c 6:45 and 7:00am

(and yes, I do often need this many alarms, I am notorious for accidentally turning alarms off instead of snoozing)

once again, alarm at 6:15 went off, I turned it off instead of snoozing, and no other alarms went off.

So now I have to ask, is there any way I can get this to work? I have roommates and would love to be able to use my Charge 5 instead of a loud alarm that bothers the whole house.

Otherwise, I find my device seems to work great.

I appreciate the assistance 🙂 thanks!

My only thought: When it seemed to work for one day, maybe you didn't have the "repeats" set correctly. I know setting alarms can be confusing.  I always set it, exit alarms, then come back in and just examine to make sure they are set the way I intended.

Also go to "Settings" and make sure you have "Vibrations" set to "Strong".

All my alarms had stated “weekdays” and “weekends” as intended, but I’ll be sure to turn up the vibrations incase I’ve just been sleeping through the alarms 😅

I think my main confusion came from the extended snooze times? I know they were supposed to be 9 minutes, so I find it odd that it showed 1500 to 1600 minutes for the snooze time 😕

Agreed.  I haven't experimented with that. I know if you tap "snooze", you get 9 minutes.  I wonder if you sleep through it, maybe it vibrates for 6 minutes, then 9 minutes after that? just guessing possibilities.

I’ve attached a picture that was taken around 1:00pm with the weird amount of snooze time to give you an idea of what it’s showing me

so for some reason, either when I tap “snooze” or when it automatically snoozed, it’s laying on a ridiculous snooze time instead of the typical 9 minutes.

I’m wondering if this affects the other alarms and maybe prevents them from playing?

I guess you really did mean 1500 minutes. I figured you must have meant 15 minutes, 0 seconds, like 15:00.   I have no idea what's going on then.
