Charge 5 Clocks - Battery Life

Hi all, first time posting.

I really love the various Clocks available to choose from on the Charge 5 app.  However, after sampling one out, I noticed my battery drains rapidly, 100% down to 50% in one day.  Does anyone know which clocks use the least battery life or know of a list with battery times by clock type?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Kenz101.

Thank you for sharing all this information about the trouble you've been having with your Charge 5.

You shouldn't really experience battery draining problems when using a specific clock face on the Charge 5, but there are some features that could consume more battery than others. Let me know what is the clock face that you've been using when you experienced this problem?

The battery can last up to 7 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary. Before considering other options, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general. Some of the feature that can drain the battery more rapidly are:

  • Built-in GPS (Charge 5 can have a battery life of up to 4 day when using this feature regularly, or up to 5 hours if you use it continuously).
  • Always-on display (Charge 5 can have a battery life of up to 3 days when using this feature).
  • Using an Sp82 clock face (Fitbit points out in this article that you may have to charge your Fitbit device more often when collecting SpO2 data).

In addition, please complete a three pulse restart following the steps listed here below, this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.
