Charge 5 won't charge and it's stuck on a red circle with a white X

My Charge 5 battery suddenly drained the battery and became unresponsive so I plugged it in to charge overnight but it would not connect to my iPhone in the morning. So I restarted it but then it immediately went to 0% battery again. I put it back on the charger for the day. Now it is unresponsive and has a red circle with a white X in it. I tried the three pulse reset multiple times both ways and it is not working. I cannot try the clock change trick because my phone can't connect. Please advise.

Hi there, @TripleLPitt. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is stuck on a red circle with a white X. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As per the description of your post it seems like your Charge 5 is not charging properly. If you haven't done so yet, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? 

On a side note, please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely).
