Charge 5 ECG stopped working

My Charge 5 ECG stopped working last year. I tried to fix it with assistance from Fitbit, without success. They acknowledged that they were aware of the problem and advised me to wait until it was fixed, but I have heard nothing from them.
After visiting this community, I tried the following, but the problem hasn't been solved yet. What should I do to solve this? Thank you for your help!

1) gave my Charge 5 Fitbit a restart
2) 
uninstalled my ECG app
3) made sure I synced my Charge 5 after uninstalling and confirmed that ECG is no longer on your Charge 5
4) re-installed my ECG app and confirmed that ECG is back on my Charge 5
5) synced my Charge 5 again.

What you've already tried are the recommended troubleshooting steps. 

One more thing you can try is clearing the storage/data for the Fitbit app on your phone. Make sure to do a sync first before clearing the app storage. You will need to log back into the app after clearing the storage.

Let us know if this restored your ECG function.
