Charge 5 - Erratic sleep time start

ANSWERED

My Fitbit charge 5 is erratic in tracking my sleep start 99% of the time I go to bed between 22:00 and 22:30 over the last 8 days the sleep start time has varied between 03:35 and 22:29. The 03:35 time was when I went to bed at 23:30. I always wear the Fitbit in the same way. What can I do to get it to be more accurate?

Hello @Sparkyretired

Thank you for your update.

Every now & then, the Fitbit app doesn't correctly show my sleep start and/or wake time. When this happens, I edit the sleep log in the app (<-- click link). It doesn't take very long for the app to update my sleep log, sleep stages graph, and sleep score.

Hello @Sparkyretired

This help page has the recommended troubleshooting to try when your Fitbit doesn't track your sleep properly (<-- click link).

Another suggestion is to try wearing your Charge 5 on the inside of your wrist. Some users have found they get better sleep tracking when they move the device to the inside of their wrist.

Thanks for the advice. I will try them out over the next few days. Last two nights have been accurate. The two before that have been poor. Even though I have been going to bed at same time and wearing the charge 5 in exactly the same way

I have tried wearing the Fitbit on the back of my wrist thought it was working well but last night it had 00:43 as the time I went to sleep, and I had gone to bed at 22:00. So it seems it’s still a work in progress or that in reality the tech is not that good yet
