Please add Floor Counting to Charge 5
Had a charge 4, wrist band broke.
Upgraded to Charge 5.
Lost Floor Tracking.
This feature helped build my plan for distance walking days vs higher level cardio building days (hills)
together this enabled the ability to track the cardio works which shows in the charts, and knowing the floors determined how to structure program forward.
I relied on the floor counting to help build my programs.
Others please comment to get this feature back into Charge units Basic Information.

Sorry but floor counting relies on the hardware altimeter which is not in the Charge 5, so it is not possible to be added via any update.

I had seen this information relayed particular to the lack of ability to add altimeter to Charge 5
My post is to see if users need and want Fitbit to add this feature altimeter to future forward Charge 5 units.
Point is; the cancellation of Charge 4 means the logical upgrade is to the Charge 5.
means this would be a far better experience with the Charge 5 capable of floor counter if it had the altimeter as part of its package.
So my post is to see if the voters are few or many who; would have improved experience with Charge 5 complete with Floor Counting Altimeter.
I am aware that Charge 5 does not have altimeter which I learned “after’ my upgrade purchase.
Another solution would be a Fitbit product Matrix showing model with features compared separated by features basic and features added premium.
Thank you all very much.

I completely agree. I had the same experience. My band broke as well as the plastic connections on the Charge 4. The comparisons chart on the Fitbit website did not provide any floor counting information, but my understanding from the marketing information was that the Charge 5 was an improved version of the Charge 4. How does removing an important feature improve a product? For year my daily exercise goals have included floor counting as well as step counting. It is unfortunate that Fitbit has not been transparent about this. I would have kept the electrical tape and rubber band on my Charge 4 while I looked outside the Fitbit universe for a device with an altimeter.

@BGSault When you ask specific questions in a thread with many posters, nobody can tell to whom you are directing those questions.

How do we vote for floor counters or altitude on charge Hr 5? I am not sure Inwouod have bought one of it had been easy to see this was no longer included in the charge hr range. I keep seeing FitBit posts saying “just vote for it and our developers will respond “ - but where to vote?

Features Suggestions Board is the place to make your views/suggestions known, and better to find same issue/suggestion and vote for it than to have hundreds of similar suggestions with one vote each.
but doubt any amount of voting could get floor counter added to Charge 5 because it lacks the required hardware.
But could make it known would like it in future models.
