GPS crashes charge 5.
Today was the second time that my Charge 5 stopped working during a walk. Last week after 18 minutes. Then fully charged Charge 5 and rebooted.
Today it stops after 26 minutes, I see in the app. Just completely off. GPS is on. Battery is not empty. What is the cause?

Hi there, @Hendrik55. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Charge 5 keeps crashing while using the GPS. I will do my best to help you with this.
Keep in mind that all devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article.

It worked fine before the last firmware update. I have now experienced several times that the Charge 5 fails completely.
I have also tried the different GPS settings, but that doesn't help either. In the middle of a walk, in the open air, the Charge shuts down and I can't restart it either. For that I have to put it on the charger.
The battery is also not empty. Strange, and I want a solution.
My Smartwatch is of no use to me this way. Useless!

Could this also have something to do with it and be the cause?

Okay, so it is a serious problem, but Fitbit/Google apparently does not see it and does nothing about it! It's time they come up with a solution.
In any case, I already know that this is my last Fitbit and the next Smartwatch will be a different brand....

I have experienced exactly the same this weekend. While walking with my charge 5 (with gps on the watch) after 1 our (about 60% battery) the watch crashed en went off. When connected to the charging adapter, the watch started again (with 60% battery) but the activity was not saved at all and visible in the app.
second time exactly the same, but with about 40% battery.
i have firmware 20001.188.58

That is not the latest firmware.
On my Charge 5 that is 57.20001.194.91

Hi, firmware 57.20001.188.58 is my latest version. No update available it seems (different region perhaps?)
anyway, same kind of mallfunction. And I’m sure it worked perfectly couple of months ago.
