I have been having problems with accurately tracking runs and walks on my Charge 5. I’ve used both Built-in and Dynamic (but I don’t always run with my phone on me). (1) My device always shows extra mileage compared to others on the same run with Apple Watch or Garmin (and therefore my pace is off). (2) Often the map showing my route is not correct - and sometimes just stops completely (as if I stopped my run much earlier in my route than I did).
One of the main reasons I have the Charge 5 is to track mileage and pace and so far it isn’t reliable.
I did restart my device and have settings to allow location set to Always.

Hi, thank you for sharing this information about the trouble you've been experiencing with your Charge 5 and the troubleshooting steps you already tried, @RunWalkCrawl.
Keep in mind that if the GPS is getting disconnected during your activity, the Charge 5 may track different information for the the distance. If you haven't done so already, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article.
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article to complete a restart, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.

Best of luck. This has been a persistent issue for me. My watch ended my tracked run 3/4 of the way through yesterday.
I often cannot get my tracker to even connect to the gps. It will spin “connecting” for 10+ minutes sometimes. Then it will disconnect a few seconds after I start my run.
I’ve followed all the “guidance” and read all the articles. I’ve reached out to Fitbit support with no success.
