Charge 5 - Green LED not turning off, Display unresponsive, Not Charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since yesterday, my Charge 5 display isn't working. I charged it for long, it showed 100% charge, but dropped to 20% in minutes. Also the Green LED at the back which used to flicker, is now continuously on. Turning off Heart Rate Monitoring didn't help.

I removed the device from my FitBIt App on the phone in the hope to reinstall, but now the App is unable to recognize the device.

Display not working isn't helping. Constant Add Card Notifications popping up.

Removing a non syncing tracker from your account, should be the very last step to try, but in your case, you are describing a misbehaving tracker.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @msri!

Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Charge 5. Before throwing the towel I'd suggest restarting your device by closely following these instructions as timing is crucial for this procedure:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a reliable power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.
