Swim Mode

Thank you to everyone who posted about their problems with the Fitbit Charge 5 swim mode.  I should have read them before I went swimming, and used the swim mode.  I used the swim mode as I was playing in the 4 ft pool with my grandkids, and the Fitbit stopped working while we were playing.  Fitbit is sending me a new one, since it was still under warranty.   However, I will definitely not be using swim mode on the new one, and will take it off when going into the water!  Otherwise, I love my Fitbit charge 5.  I had been given an old used Apple Watch in Dec.   However, I didn't really care for the hugeness of it, and I didn't need all the apps on my watch.  So I went back to Fitbit.  I have been very happy with the Charge 5, and can't wait to get my replacement!

Sorry about that @Smgarner swim mode only locks the screen.

Was your problem with the swim mode, or with the water? The reports I see look more like water ingress.

Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @Smgarner!
Sad to hear that you've had issues with your device. Charge 5 in general can be used while swimming and it is also meant to track your swimming exercises. But you should keep an eye on some points to keep it in good condition after you've left water. Please have a closer look here for more information on that:

Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?
