My Charge 5 has recently developed an orange glow around the edge even when screen is off. Seems to be working normally otherwise. I have tried restarting the device but it's still there. Is there anything I could try or does it basically mean the device is on its last legs and will need replacing soon?

Hi @JessBurf24, welcome to the Fitbit community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with the display issue you are currently having with your Charge 5. Thank you for the picture and for the troubleshooting you have already tried.
If the glowing frame remains still even when the device is off, i would believe that's not a light. However, if you believe that's not hte case, i recommend that you attempt to change the clock face of your device. Sometimes this manipulation resolves this kind of issue.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I have already tried changing the clock face as I saw this suggestion mentioned on another post, unfortunately this hasn't helped either.

Hi @JessBurf24, thank you for your reply.
Thank you for explaining that you have already tried to change the clock face of your Charge 5's display.
To ensure the issue is not related to software, may i suggest that you attempt to erase teh device's user data? See How do I erase my Fitbit device? > Charge 5, Charge 6, Inspire 3, and Luxe for instructions.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately this also hasn't helped. As it otherwise still seems to be working properly, I think I will just put up with it for now until it stops working.
