I have gone through all of the forums and questions and everything, and I cannot get my phone to even care now with the device. I tried the device first for a while worked fine swapped the device gave it to my wife. Had it set up on her phone, But she didn’t like it so I decided to put it back onto my phone. It worked well, but it would keep going off and the only way to get it to wake up would be to put it on the charger. Now all it does is flash your logo for about 10 seconds and then goes black for a few. None of the buttons work I’ve cleaned everything. A friend of mine gave this to me because of a scary heart incident in the family that was early detected by a tracker watch my friend bought a new eye watch and gave me this and it worked fine.
I I don’t know what else to do. I can’t restart it. I can’t get it to come on. I can’t get it to pair.

Hello @R1xr0x11
Since you've already tried the recommended troubleshooting, there's an unconventional method you could try that has worked for a few users - exposing the device to freezer temps. In this thread (<-- click link), the user explains what they did. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for your Charge 5, it might be worth a try.
Also, some users have let their Fitbit battery drain completely, let the device sit at zero percent for a while (a couple of days), then charge it back up. Again, this is a method that has worked for some, but not all.

Thank you
I thought about the battery so I’m working on that now with the charger attached to it not plugged in. It’s cycling through that screen of your logo so hopefully that will drain the battery. if not, I will charge it and then put it in the freezer and read the steps for that.
I know that this was given to me, and I know it’s an older model. is there anywhere I could send it to or is there an ability for local tech people to repair them?
Thanks

Hello @R1xr0x11
Unfortunately, there isn't any repair service available for Fitbit devices.
