I thought this was crazy but hear me out, it worked for me! All I could get was a blinking Fitbit Logo on my Charge 5. Tried all the ways of resetting I could find.
Then I saw a post from a computer tech who said he tried an old trick for stuck computer silicone chIps. He said take your watch, put it in a freezer bag and put in freezer for at least 4 hours. I put mine in freezer but forgot to take it out until next morning. Leave it sit until back to room temperature. I did that, tapped the screen on it worked just like it never had a problem. It's been over 24 hours and "still ticking". (From a really old Timex commercial lol.)
Good Luck!!!!!

Interesting.. I've stuck mine in the freezer currently and will report back on the results. Found this thread as well:

So... for me 90 mins in the freezer didn't work.. still dead.. I've set it to charge (after it warmed up to room temp) and will see.. if not back in the freezer it goes for four hours for one last Hail Mary. I contained CS a couple days ago, and was told that a customer care person would reach out.. my case is "In Progress", what does that mean and why can't i get details about it? Its the first time I've ever seen that ...
Well, I gave this trick another go, first for 4 days, then for a week in the freezer, fingers crossed, but no luck, this morning, out of the freezer, back to room temp, connected to the charge cable and still buzzing and flashing, then, after a few minutes, nothing at all. Rang Fitbit assistance, we tried a few other things, but nothing. I guess this is for the bin. 😞
