It’s happening very often and it is frustrating. My Charge 5 just randomly turns off even if it is fully charged, and the only way to turn it back on is connecting to the charger which is very inconvenient if you don't have it on you.

Best AnswerI have the same problem, contact custom service many times but they couldn't fix it
I have tried all options. Also charge 5 is fully charged, rebooted several times cleaned several time as per instructions, it keeps shutting down and will only restart once attached to charger.
I contacted customer support again. I was told it has become evident to them that the battery in the Charge 5 does not meet the needs of the device. They immediately sent me an email with a link to either get a replacement of my current device or 50% off a different one.
I contacted support also and they walked me through all the possible solutions but nothing has worked. Because my device is 1 year and 6 months old (6 months over the warranty), it is no longer covered by the warranty. So they offered me only 35% off a new device, no free replacement…kstande, was your device still under warranty?

Hi everyone, thank you for all the details that you've provided so far about this inconvenience with your Charge 5.
It seems that many of you have already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. In this case I do recommend that you continue the communication with them so they can let you know about the options available for you. If you still haven't contacted them, you can get in touch with them here to chat with them or to call them directly.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback as well about the warranty limitations. Comments from users are always helpful to continue improving the quality of products and services.
Big whoop! Doesn’t help if you can’t fix the problem.
I'm having the same issue. It didn't start until the app update, so I thought it might be that. It seemed like it was happening after I checked the app, but it just did it again and I had not opened the app today. The only way to get it to come back on is to plug it in to the charger, and it says my battery is at 82%, so it's not because the battery is low.
What happen when you have gone thru the restart program, sometimes several times a day, and the screen continues to go black or show the logo. Do I need a new battery? I have had this device less than a year and find it very frustrating.
I kept restarting an cleaning my fitbit charge 5. It is on version 57.20001.188.58. an it turns off when the battery is at the interval of 90to65.
