Charge 5 blank screen

Like many my charge 5 is stuck with the black screen 

i have push the button on the charger 3 times waiting a second in between it will vibrate flash the logo them

Its Now recording steps and is 99% charged 

but the screen still is a black 

any ideas??

Hi there, @sharvey1964. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 5 is still blank. I will do my best to help you with this! 

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image. 
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Nope. mine is stuck in a boot loop... blue fitbit icon and black screen.. and eventually red circle with the white x. I think mine is dead, support was unable to assist and I'm told customer care will reach out with options (e.g. 35% coupon), which is not enough to make me purchase another fitbit. I've taken good care of all my fitbits and still, its seems they randomly around the two year mark. Hmm...
