On my previous Fitbit model a few years back, I used the timer feature constantly, but didn't know how much I appreciated it. When I got a Charge 5 a couple of years ago, I found that although the timer would remember the last time increment I had set, it required two extra taps (confirming minutes and seconds) before I could start it. From a UI perspective, this doesn't make sense: surely many people need to regularly reuse the same interval, and would prefer to do so with as little attention required as possible. Changing to a new interval already requires attention, so the swipe to edit isn't a burden.
I have just had to replace my Charge 5 (the second time) and so I don't know if it's the new hardware or the new firmware, but now the timer doesn't remember the last interval entered at all. So now there are four extra steps instead of two. Every time. This has persisted through restarts and clock face changes. Please rethink this change, as it makes a key watch feature much less user-friendly.
