My Charge 5 will no longer charge (anyone else see the irony here). I have cleaned the contacts on both the Fitbit and the charging cradle/cable. I have tried several different USB power adapters and yet the Charge 5 does not take a charge. It is still running, but the battery is down to just 7%. So it won't be long before it dies. Any troubleshooting suggestions? Unfortunately, I do not know anyone with a Charge 5 to be able to try their charger.

I did as CF suggested and it did restart the fitbit but now it won't stop buzzing and the logo just keeps flashing. Still isn't charging either. Tried the restart a couple more times and it blinks off for a second but then resumes the buzzing and flashing

Same here. I’ve tried every troubleshooting solution with no success. I also tried calling support (call was not connected) and signed up to be called back (no response). I don’t know what I should try next, but I don’t feel like anyone is trying to help me.

Do you know anyone else with a charge? Try their charger. Mine started working when I did this

Hello!
I have tried this and all the other tricks I can find in this forum. My Fitbit Charge 5 wouldn't charge so I bought a new charger (Fitbit brand) and am still having the same problem. The watch seems to "catch" the charge for a second but then loses it. The battery level will sometimes jump around (saying it's at 1% then 40% then back to 1%), sometimes it looks like it's restarting, sometimes it will say it is charging but stay at low percentage for a very long time.
I have tried resetting the watch (when I can keep the charge long enough), the button on the charger method, and even bought a new charger. Thanks in advance!

Well .. you can keep trying .. and good luck if you do … … but planned obsolescence may have bitten you … … I drank the cool aid and bought the Charge 6 .. but it could be my last Fitbit depending on how it goes.

Argh! That is frustrating...and also what I am suspecting.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. My Fitbit Charge 5 has stopped charging. I've tried the reset function suggested above but with no success. Any other suggestions please?

I left a Charge 6 that did this (after replacing a Charge5 that did it twice, once in warranty and once outside) on a table for a month. Then put it on a charger again (was going to take it to the e-waste facility that day) and lo and behold, it started charging. I had already gotten the replacement Charge 6 (under warranty) but the original one is still holding a charge at least 3 months later. So you can try in a last-ditch effort to let it COMPLETELY discharge, then put on the charger. I would have tried that on the two Charge 5s that I had, but took them to e-waste without a complete, total discharge.

The weird thing is the fitbit isn't charging and it's a black screen but on the app it's still counting steps?!?! I'll try leaving it for a while and come back to it thanks

Yes I know but it's not doing that. I'm not even getting the vibration when putting it on charge.
