Hi,
I upgraded from a charge 4 to a charge 5 recently. I use the run app, and timer/stopwatch to track my exercises regularly. However, after a couple of minutes of using the apps on the watch, the screens turns off, which I would expect, but when I tab the screen to go back to check my pace on the run app or timer, it has stopped and puts me back to the main clock screen.
I have tested this at least a dozen times now, and it's very frustrating. I've also tried leaving Always-on-Display on, but still fails to fully track my run. It was very useful on my previous charge, as I could leave my phone behind and track runs using GPS on my watch.
Has anyone else experienced this and were you able to resolve it?
Thanks

I had to get a replacement for battery issues. Today was my first workout with it and this happened to me about 5 times. I tried it with the screen always on and it still stopped. Ugghhhh.

Yep. I did all that too even though I just got this Fitbit a week ago. This is definitely a bug. I really miss being able to compare data from workouts. This is problematic.

Yes, I have the same problem.
Went from chg 4 to 5, good for a week, then go for walk, screen goes black, swipe and ur at clock.
Data is ?? No good.
I'm used to the chg 4, and know good data, from walks, bikes, etc. Also good gps on 4 for maps when needed. Ready to go back to chg 4, it's over 2 yrs old. Color display on 5 is nice, but for now it is just a WATCH!!!
Does fitbit read these??

Yes, a bug as my walk routine is stopped after a few moments and returns to clock screen.
Not usable as tracker.

Same issue here. I'm pretty sure mine is rebooting and killing the tracking.

This is the first time I've ever spent a premium to buy a watch that couldn't keep time. It has one job and one job only as a watch and that's to tell you the time. It can't even do that with it's stopwatch/countdown features. How vile is that? A watch that can't keep the time? Ask me if I'll ever buy a fitbit again. lol
