Charge 5 and Fitbit app are not matching my steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 5 is not showing the correct amount of steps, seems to be frozen on the amount yet it syncs with the server and the app is updating. There is almost a 2K difference between them. I know the app is correct as the Charge itself didn't change the number of steps for a couple of hours.I have restarted my phone, restarted the Charge 5 itself a few times and have swapped out different clocks a couple of times. Any suggestions?

Hello @matneym

There is an issue on the Fitbit side that affect step tracking and syncing with the Fitbit app. The team is aware of the issue and is working on fixing the problem.

For now, there isn't any troubleshooting we can do on our side. Hopefully, it won't take too much longer to get the problem fixed and we see our Fitbits properly tracking our steps and syncing with the Fitbit app.

As @RiekoC has mentioned, our team is aware of this situation. They're currently working on a fix which will be released within the next few weeks.

Hello @matneym

There is an update for the Android Fitbit app, ver 4.26.1, that started rolling out today, 25 Sep 2024. I got the update this morning.

The app updates tend to rollout in waves. If you don't see the update right away, keep checking.

So far, I haven't seen any posts about an update for iOS Fitbit app. I suspect one should be rolling out soon, if not at the same time as the Android app.
