This topic has been addressed as to earlier versions of Fitbit watches. I cannot find a thread specific to the Charge 5. I have been wearing my Charge 5 since Christmas. I am 50 years old, reasonably fit. I do yoga 3-5 times a week and walk every day. My RHR is in the mid 70s, which seems a little high to me. I do not sleep well, and bought a Fitbit primarily to track my sleep and try to make improvements in the New Year. Generally, I tend to have light sleep at the beginning of the night, with on average 3-4 period so REM sleep between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. My sleep score is usually in the low 80's.
I am concerned about my HRV. It has been very low every day since I have been wearing my watch. My range is 13-18, with an average of 16. I have been wearing my watch likely too tight, and adjusted the band this morning so that it is a finger below the wrist bone and can slide up and down my wrist.
Has anyone experienced abnormally low HRV readings on the Charge 5? I know this was an issue with past models.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Keann.
Thank you for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5 and HRV.
HRV varies from person to person. Age, sex, sleep, hormones, circadian rhythm, and other factors (for example, caffeine or alcohol intake, exercise, and stress) can affect HRV.
Although a significant drop in HRV may indicate that your body is experiencing stress, strain, or showing potential signs of illness, please keep in mind that Fitbit is not a medical device. I wouldn't worry if it's not a significant drop in HRV, but if you do feel it's and odd number that you're getting constantly, I recommend that you check with a medical professional.
I personally experience a drop in HRV at times and I don't have any heart or medical conditions, but in my case it may be related to stress and my caffeine consumption. As mentioned earlier, it's always a good idea to check all of this with your doctor if you're having doubts as well.
Have a great day.
