Has anyone else’s charge 5 died after getting wet? I went swimming in a lake a few weeks back and my charge 5 completely died. Luckily, I was within warranty range and Fitbit replaced it. This past weekend my husband jumped in the water, realized he had his charge 5 on, and immediately removed it. Same thing, completely broken and not working. When this happened to mine I had the water lock on, he did not. Either way, how disappointing! We both had charge 4s and swam in them all the time. The Charge 5s do not seem to be water resistant whatsoever, even though Fitbit assured me they were. I will not be getting mine wet again and am on the hunt to find a more water resistant fitness tracker. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen and if anyone has changed watches because of it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have not tried it with the water lock, but I don't really understand why there is a water lock you can turn on and off? Why would you ever want it off if it is available?

@namcy4 The water lock locks the screen so splashes don't activate the screen. It isn't part of Fitbit's water resistant features. Help article You can't interact with the screen at all when the water lock is on.
There are many reports from users who had problems after one trip in the water and it isn't limited to the Charge 5. The water lock doesn't make a difference in this case.
