Charge 5 battery drained suddenly overnight this week.
when I charged it up, I noted that the time would not stay correct. Also, the battery drains within 24 hours of getting a full charge.
done the usual fixes, logged out of the app, removed and reinstalled the device, changed the time zone and back again. I’ve even factory reset the watch. I’ve no idea what’s going on but looking at other posts on here, it is not just me affected, so I’m guessing it is a firmware issue?
Please sort it out Fitbit. If not, you’re going to lose a lot of customers!

Hello @RichardMoncur
Since you've already tried the recommended troubleshooting, you might want to consider what worked for me.
When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery loss, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I saw a rapid drop in battery, I restarted my Charge 5 and put it on the charger until it was back to 100%, often doing this multiple times in a day. Eventually, this process got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for you, it might be worth a try.

I have the similar issue as well, I think battery degraded and the charge just does not last like 5 to 7 days anymore. When my fitbit have like 60% battery life left, when I got to the gym and use stop watch to track time, the fibit will go into an auto restart and stuck in boot screen. I need to put it back onto the charge in order to boot it up again, and on boot up it shows e.g. 30% battery life, which i can't understand why it shut down in the first place. Another scenario is when I'm using the GPS for running, and then it shuts down, losing all my run timing!
