Hi! I updated the firmware recently and my fitbit device has pretty much stopped working. The biggest problem is that the battery drains completely overnight, making it impossible to monitor sleep. Everything was fine before the update, battery lasted for at least 4-5 days, and it charged perfectly! Now it takes forever to charge (even after cleaning), and once I have been able to recharge it to 100% it drains immediately. I've tried re-starting, re-setting and nothing works. Can I go back to the previous firmware?

Mine is the same! So frustrating, 12 hours battery max and before it was 5/6 days 😫 is there a way to undo the update? Or sign of another update to fix this??

I’m having the same problem. 98% at 10am this morning and now on 13%. My Fitbit now refuses point blank to charge at all, it’s only 3 days old and there’s nothing I can do about it as I’m out of the country for another 7 days. It’s infuriating!

I'm having the exact same experience. My Charge 5 is a month old and has been working perfectly. Did the recent update and immediately started having battery issues. It didn't even make it overnight last night after being charged midday. When I put it on the charger it shows its charging; it just doesn't hold the charge.

My husband found an article on here (I’m new to this forum though and don’t know how to direct you to it) but basically I think I’ve sorted the issue after following the advice on it.
I went into settings on my Fitbit, restarted the watch. Logged out of the Fitbit app on my phone, cleared the Fitbit app cache in my iPhone settings, restarted my phone, logged back into Fitbit app and it seems to be working ok now.
i believe the watch updates a bit more every time your watch syncs with the Fitbit app until it has all of the new update installed. Apparently this can take over an hour - hence why it drains so quickly. My battery life reappeared back to what it should be after I did the above yesterday and even this morning it looked like my watch did more of the update.
I’m in Greece atm so maybe mine is taking longer than it would were I back in the UK using my WiFi. But it is charging when I plug it in and it’s not draining so much so it’s probably worth trying the above to see what happens.

I tried deleting the cache from the app and logging out, unfortunately the device will not charge at all at the moment...

This happened to me. Are you totally out of battery now? I had barely any left but managed to go into settings on the actual watch and press ‘restart’ and that restored it. Today it has drained really quickly again..but at least I am able to charge it now - it wouldn’t even do that until I restarted the actual watch. it seems to be periodically updating still too!

Yes, it's totally out. If I do the restart thing I get the start-up screen then black. Left it in the charger for the rest of the day (changing between wall socket and compter at one point), made no difference unfortunately.
