My Charge 5 has had poor battery life for about 6-8 months. For the first few months, it was down to 2-3 days. Then 24 hours. The past couple of weeks I'm down to 12 hours. I thought it was due to these firmware updates or app issues, but I'm wondering if my 2-year-old Charge 5 has just reached the end of its lifespan. Has anyone had prior Fitbit experience? How long should I expect the battery to last after 2 years?

I have been having the same exact issues for about a month or more. I used to be able to go days without charging my device

You know, I did all that 6 months ago, and then like 50 times since, so I'm pretty sure the problem isn't me. Is this at least a known problem? This seems to be a common issue

Same.
I charged mine yesterday. It was working fine earlier, now its died....again.
Another reset required.

Same issue. I realised that there's a green light permanently on, o the back which is likely why the power drains.
Reported it via "contact us " and they're replacing it for free. Had it since Xmas 2022.
Worth a try folks.

Mine is doing exactly the same. It was fine and now it is only charge for an hour and then die. Bought my Charge in Feb 2022 so it seems like they only have a lifespan of 2 years....just seems odd that it happended so quick. You would expect it to die slowly over time not all of a sudden.

There's a little button on the charging cable, right by the USB side. It's faint and hard to press.

Hello @Lvmr
There is a small inset button on one side of the USB end of the charging cord that came with your device. See picture below:

I’m having the same issues. I used to go about 5 days without having to charge the battery on my Charge 5. Now it goes from 100% to 0% in less than 30 minutes. My problems started happening Saturday. No one from Fitbit has any rhyme or reason as to why this is happening. If they do, they will not share. None of their articles or suggestions will help either. They are useless.

Are you sure your battery isn’t dead? I would hook it up to the charger for a few hours.
