I charged my charge 5 overnight by lunch time it was dead. So i charged it again to 100% and within a few hours it was dead again!
My watch normally lasts 5 days minimum yet now it won’t even last a few hours! I have seen loads of people having the same issue with the Charge 5 so it must be something to do with an update!

Started happening to me last night as well. Normally I get 5-7 days out of a full charge. Last night around 10pm I see critical 7%. No email notification prior which I always get. Plugged it in to charge around 11pm. Fully charged and put it back on around 1am. At 4am totally dead again.

Hi there, @WeeJimmy. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Charge 5 is draining quickly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
As a first approach, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%. Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).
If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend following the tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
@Bizeed It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. I've seen you contacted our Support Team just right after posting here and they've already assisted you. If you have any questions regarding the outcome of your case, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team again. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

There is nothing wrong with the battery! I have never had an issue with it until the latest update and like many people with charge 5’s are complaining of exactly the same issue. It’s highly unlikely that everyone with a charge 5’s battery would all degrade on the same day after updating!

@MarreFitbit Having the same issues as others post here - up until last Friday I was typically getting 5-6 days from my Charge 5. Since them it is barely lasting 2 hours on a full charge. Have tried all the suggested "fixes" - e.g. restarting phone, restarting charge 5, re-installing the app, factory reset of the charge 5, etc. No change.
Was there an update pushed out recently that might be causing this? Too many people seeing the exact same symptoms for this just to be an issue with an individual device.
Stephen.

There are other threads of people complaining of the same issue in the last few days. I contacted support but they’re not taking responsibility. Not surprised of course.

No joy with support either - they claim that the battery is damaged and it has nothing to do with the recent update (what update???). As I am out of warranty by a few months the best they would offer was a 35% discount on a new tracker...

Same 35%, also only a few months out of warranty. This has been the pattern for my last 3 Fitbit's. I stay with them for the app and because I have 15 years of data that I can’t take anywhere else.
