I have had my Charge 5 for four months, the battery usually lasts 6+ days. All of the sudden it last 4-5 hours. I have checked for updates none available, turned off notifications except for auto recognized exercises, sleep updates, low battery and weekly summary. I have turned off GPS as well. Is there anything else that could be causing this or did I get a pice of garbage.

It seems that Fitbit pushed a broken firmware update. Lots of folks are complaining about this issue this month. If it's still under warranty, they'll probably send you a replacement if you contact customer support. However, they've been replacing a lot of Charge 5s recently (because this is a common problem), so they're currently back-ordered.
If you have a Premium subscription/trial, don't forget to cancel that before you get charged! They will not refund nor prorate your Premium cost even if your device is bricked.
