Only recently I have noticed that my charge 5 battery draining so quickly. I have tried all the suggestions out there. At the start of the day it has a full battery and by lunch time it's dead. It's died when I have been on a run which is extremely frustrating. It's only a year and a half old. I even have trouble when I restart the charge 5. I'm so annoyed with my fitbit, I'm seriously thinking about getting a different brand.
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

I came to the FB Community page with this exact issue! Started a complete drain overnight (from 89% to zero within 6 hours). Fully charged yesterday by noon and again zero battery at 5:30 am. Super disappointed and I am hoping for a cool trick to fix this. Otherwise it might be time to shop for another brand.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I have completed the steps in the Extend your FB’s battery article. I also uninstalled and then reinstalled the app, updated my iPhone and reset the Fitbit device. What can I do to fix it? The battery is dead within 2 hours of the full charge. Thanks.

Yes, I have tried everything possible but nothing has worked. I have a full charge in the morning and I would give it roughly 2 to 3 hours and it's dead again. I am so disappointed with the product now. Very close to throwing it out because nothing seems to work.

The “Help” is useless the same generic response to everyone. You would think it would register there’s an issue on their end the fact everyone with a charge 5 is suddenly experiencing major battery drain issues

You are not wrong there at all. Why all of a sudden is everyone with a charge 5 experiencing the same issue?

There are a few posts on this yet no solution forthcoming. Is it due to firmware update? Why is there no information about why this has happened and what is being done?

Same here. Now the screen has gone blank. Followed all the instructions for how to "fix" this...the latest was to unpair the device and redo the connection. Totally useless since the app asks for a code on the device. How exactly do I read the code when the screen doesn't work. This is my 4th fitbit. They only last a year and break as soon as the warranty expires. Tired of the hassle. Time for another brand ($28 on amazon).

It’s quite clear that Google have no interest and, frankly, treating Charge 5 users with contempt

Like with many things, someone invents a great product, but as soon as it gets bought by a corporate giant, the quality plummets. It is like the corporation buys it only to destroy it.
