My battery on my Charge 5 is draining very quickly. I used to go days before it would get to 50%. Now I’m lucky to keep it charged enough for 2 days. Both last Friday & Sunday the Fitbit shut down because battery was totally drained.

Hi there, @MaryEE @CeTroo. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and welcome to you guys @TayBae @snoopywithheart. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Charge 5 devices.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general, as this has been generally useful for other users. In addition, please confirm that you've restarted your Charge 5 as described below:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end if the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

The battery can last up to 7 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but the battery shouldn't be draining only after a few hours.

Mine has started to do the same thing. It dropped from 92 - 68 within minutes.

Likewise. It begun last week and now I’m lucky if I get 2 days after charging at 100%.

I’ve checked all those tips on extending the battery and it still drains quickly.

My fitbit Charge 5 battery that used to last a week is now draining in 10 hours. I bought this in July '22. I am having problems with my heart and it helps to monitor my heart rate and have the information to relay to my doctor.  Had problems with the charge 3 I had to.  It was a bad decision to make this purchase should have gotten a Garmin fitbit is garbage.

Did everything I was told to do and got an email telling me how to fix it. Did nothing to help. Charged it at 8:43 am it's 6:40 pm down to 10% now.  Just started doing this two days ago.  Had this thing 8 months when it was working it was very useful because I'm having heart problems.  Should get a replacement or refund.

Hello,

I have tried these and it still drains quickly. It won’t stay charged for longer than 12hours
