Hi everyone!
Not sure this is the right place, but since Fitbit doesn’t seem to care about my problem at all, wanted to know if anyone is experiencing the same issues I’ve been having for months with my Charge 5.
the newest one is the HR sensor that stays on permanently and drains all the battery. I just need to let it run completely out of battery and - maybe - after the next charge it works again.
other issues I have since the beginning and were never solved are the battery that lasts max 24-36h, clock loses synch very often, HR is extremely high at some moments of the day (120+) even while not doing sports… Tried restarting, resetting, removing from phone, re-adding, but nothing really does the trick, just seems to be getting worse.
any help here would be very much appreciated, apart from promising fixing things with firmware updates promised by Fitbit, this one is by far the worst I had and it’s my 3rd one, pretty disappointing as I’ve always had good experiences with the previous charge versions, but in the meantime I rely more on my Apple Watch that is more than 3yo and works flawlessly.
thanks!
Alex

Hey Alex, and Everyone,
Just replying to note that I have similar issues with my new Charge 5. HR stops working randomly — easily fixed by usual means (restarting, turning HR off/on with the Charge's Settings controls, etc.) — but it is frustrating that I've need to do that 2 or three times every day. I'm aware of other issues (like fit and location of device on wrist), those are not the cause — adjusting the fit never helps when HR stops responding. I also get clearly incorrect HR rates at times, and imagine that is also a result of the sensor not working (perhaps stuck on an old reading).
I have tried chatting here — plenty of helpful advice, but again, all of the fixes only work temporarily.
