Charge 5 battery

My charge 5 updated automatically two days ago. I noticed the battery was almost gone so as usually I charged it to 100%. Once I took it off about 10 minutes into wearing it again, I was sent a notification that the battery was low. I charged it again and then after the same thing happened. I can only wear it for 10 minutes after being fully charged before the battery completely drains again. I’m not sure what has happened? It was working perfectly until two days ago. I searched the online forms and deleted apps that were mentioned and still it is the same. I’m really disappointed as this watch is only a year and a half years old? What’s going on?

I noticed the exact same thing! My Charge 5 worked fine 2 days ago. Then yesterday the battery completely drained. I had it at nearly a full charge 2 hours ago and it’s already below 65%. This is really disappointing as mine also isn’t even 2 years old yet and I’ve really enjoyed it. If I can no longer expect even a 2 year lifespan on my Fitbit then it might be time to switch brands, unfortunately.

Hello @Ericalouise & @NateXXIV

When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery drain, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I noticed the battery% had a big drop, I restarted my device then put it on the charger, often doing this multiple times in a day. This process eventually got my Charge 5 "unstuck" and the battery life went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work, it might be worth a try.

Thanks, I’ll give it a go but that seems awfully burdensome for what seems to be no apparent reason. If I dropped it down the stairs and this was the fix, I’d understand. But since I now need to babysit it for a chance it might fix whatever broke on it’s own, it’s a bit frustrating. Thank you for the advice, though! I’ll try it.
