Charge 5 blank screen

I charged my charge 5 a couple of days ago and since putting it on charge it has a black screen. 

I have tried to reset it by holding the button 3 times and the fitbit log comes up but nothing more. Can someone help me sort it out please.

Wished I could but so far Fitbit has closed its eyes to this problem ..  it seems every charge5 has a life span of a year to year and half.. then dies..mainly after the last update..  read more of the community complaints of the charge 5 problems .  its saddening that Fitbit knows about the problem and their fix is giving a 30 to 50 % discount to buy another Fitbit..  but funny they don't even offer the charge 5 anymore.. but they claim there is no problem with them... they are just turning their backs to all the customer complaints and acting like its not the charge5 that's the problem..

I have the exact same problem and tried the 3x button press reset solution.  Screen is still black.

Forgot to mention that the device was purchased in March of last year!  Absolutely horrible.  My previous Charge 3 lasted almost 4 years!

My screen went black a couple of days ago too.

Resetting with button did not help.

Debating if I should attempt to swap out the screen, purchase a used replacement or switch to some other product. It's 15 months old. Not very impressive.

Same problem since yesterday. And this is a 14 month old replacement Fitbit 5, the previous one went black screen also. What are we supposed to do now?

I reached out to customer support and sent them a copy of my receipt from Amazon.  They responded by saying that the seller from  Amazon isn’t an authorized reseller, even though Amazon is so my charge 5 isn’t covered by warranty and to reach out to to the seller! Trying to figure out my next purchase since I need a heath and sleep tracker.  Smart watches are just too bulky, especially to sleep with.
