Charge 5 blank screen

Hi

My Charge 5 screen has suddenly gone black and is not responding. 
I have attached the charging cable and pressed 3 times- each time the watch vibrates but the screen remains black. 
My phone Fitbit app cannot detect the watch either so I can’t change anything via the app. 
It was fully charged this morning, working when I went for my morning run, then suddenly died 1 hour later. 
Can you help?

Could you please try these steps ? 

Manually sync : Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Restart your device : How do I restart my Fitbit device? 
(Please confirm if you tried the steps shown, letting one-second pause between each press)

Change the clock face : How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Hello

I have restarted by pressing the charger cable per instructions. Screen still dead. 

my Fitbit app can now connect to the watch, but the screen is dead. 

when I try to change the clock face following the instructions, it tells me the installation has failed, or that there is another clock face being installed (but there isn’t). 

battery is 92%. Screen still dead.

I've had my screen go black several times over the last few days. I've plugged it in thinking the battery must be low, but it is not. Plugging it in does activate it, but it continues to have the same issue. The last time this happened, the time was off drastically when I plugged it in.

I am having the same issue.  When on the charger, it gets very hot and sometimes I see the Fitbit logo appear for a brief second or two and then blank again.

No, support told me that it was a hardware issue and wouldn't have a way to fix it. They told me to get a new device!

I am having similar issues. My Charge5 suddenly started to vibrate today and then the screen went black. It will not restart when I press the charger 3 times. Will not sync. Doesn’t even vibrate when I put it onto the charger. It last synced this morning at 8:21 but will not do anything now!

Same has happened to me.  50% charged and all of a sudden blank screen and nothing has synced since 3pm.  Also tried the charger solution by clicking three times but it hasn't work.  Red light flashing on back.  Please put me through to customer support. Thanks

the same thing happened to me. I contacted Fitbit technical support and did all of the troubleshooting steps including a factory reset. still the same, issues. Charge it, the logo appears, charge to 99%, then put it on and it dies within 3 min. Now it is not turning on. I was told that there is nothing Fitbit can do. They seem to know that there is an issue with teh charge 5 but don't care. Fitbit as a brand has really suffered since being purchased by google....It is my third charge 5 to die almost 1 year from date of purchase....I guess I am a sucker for buying this product....

This started happening to me yesterday too! I’ve done all the troubleshooting and still not working. If Fitbit did an update and they caused ALL these people’s watches to break bc of that update, that’s on them and should replace our products at no additional cost. This is messed up.

Im having the same issue(light flashing, heart rate not working, useless restart) since yesterday, is there any recent secret firmware update for charge 5... My charge 5 has been flashing strong green for almost whole day now, heart rate scanning not working even after following all the troubleshooting steps and countless restart.... Now the green light is getting dimmer, im waiting the battery to drain and wanting to see if recharging will work later 😞
